Top Ten Tuesday – My Most Anticipated Releases

Posted July 5, 2022 by Alyssa in New Releases, Top Ten Tuesday / 1 Comment

Top Ten Tuesday started way back in 2010 and is currently hosted by Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each Tuesday various bloggers will make their own lists based on the curated weekly topics. You can share one item or twenty – it’s really up to blogger on how they want to create their post. This week we’re tackling our most anticipated releases for July-December 2022.

Forcing ranking these was super difficult, but I tried my best. I also primarily focused on books that I have already preordered, since that would mean I’m beyond excited about them.

Cover of the September 2 release COURT OF THE VAMPIRE QUEEN by Katee Robert.

NO. 10

Court of the Vampire Queen by Katee Robert (September 2). A bind up of the Bloodline Vampires trilogy with an absolutely stunning cover as well as inside designs. This was an impulse purchase during the Target buy two get one free sale. I’ve only read the first in the trilogy (Sacrifice) thus far, and am looking forward to the remainder. Katee could write a book about literally anything, and it would be on my anticipated release list.

NO. 9

Below Zero by Ali Hazelwood (July 5). The third in a novella series that Ali Hazelwood has been releasing this year. I loved Ali’s writing in her debut novel last year, and I’m excited to read more from her. We’re also going to ignore that I’ve preordered all three of these novellas and have yet to read one.

NO. 8

Shared by My Neighbors by Katee Robert (November 7). A contemporary MMF where our heroine moves in next door to two best friends where one thing leads to another. I’ve loved other MMF that Katee has written (Gifting Me to His Best Friend, Learn My Lesson, The Beast) that I have no doubt this is going to be a fun, spicy read.

NO. 7

Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail by Ashley Herring Blake (November 22). The second installment in the Bright Falls series following Astrid, who we met in book one. Knowing how that ended, I’m so excited to read this one and be in Astrid’s head more. The authors adult debut (Delilah Green Doesn’t Care) was such a fun sapphic romance, that I am extra excited for a another to be published this year.

NO. 6

Lizzie Blake’s Best Mistake by Mazey Eddings (September 6). The next installment in the A Brush with Love series following Lizzie who breaks her one night stand rule and then everything changes. I was fortunate to receive an early copy through Net Galley that I am almost done with. I loved the first in the series (Mazey’s debut) and am excited to continue to support her as an author.

NO. 5

Booked on a Feeling by Jayci Lee (July 26). The third in the A Sweet Mess series. Jayci has a writing style that really works for me. She tends to write the angst really well and make you fall for her flawed characters. Her romances tend to be more closed than open door, but that does not take away from any of the story in the slightest.

NO. 4

Kiss Her Once for Me by Alison Cochrun (November 1). A standalone holiday sapphic romance where the main character fakes an engagement with her landlord and ends up falling for his sister. I absolutely loved The Charm Offensive (released in 2021) and am so excited that the author has written a sapphic romance that is traditionally published. Alison has a way of evoking such emotion with her words that I know this is going to make me cry.

Cover of the November 2022 release BEFORE I LET GO by Kennedy Ryan

NO. 3

Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan (November 15). The first book in a new series by the author that is a second chance romance with a married couple. I absolutely love second chance romances that are centering a married couple. There’s something so raw and real about how characters are flawed and deciding to fight for their marriage. While in reality it doesn’t always work out, in books I love the journey of watching two people fall for each other again. Another book where the cover is absolutely stunning. Kennedy Ryan has become an auto-buy/auto-read author for me and I cannot wait to get my hands on this one.

NO. 2

Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood (August 23). The sophomore novel from Ali Hazelwood whose debut (The Love Hypothesis) took the book world by storm in 2021. I honestly know very little about this book and hit that order button as soon as I was able to because of how much I loved her first book last year. I have a feeling that this is going to be equally as fun and charming as her other works. Wow I have a lot of Hazelwood’s work to read yet this year.

Cover of the November 22 release TWO WRONGS MAKE A RIGHT by Chloe Liese

NO. 1

Two Wrongs Make a Right by Chloe Liese (November 22). I binged the Bergman Brothers series (at least what’s been published thus far) within about a month and absolutely fell in love with Chloe’s writing style. Her books make me laugh out loud and cry all within the span of 300 or so pages. This is another enemies to lovers, but this time it’s a Shakespeare retelling. This is a fake dating romance, which is my kryptonite (right behind grumpy/sunshine). I am so excited to read this and it is easily my most anticipated release in the second half of 2022.
