Thought I’d keep the same theme as June and post the new releases I’m excited about after the month has already begun.
Each book listed below includes the sub-genre of romance, known tropes and any other information I can share.
July 3: Knot So Lucky by Trilina Pucci
- Contemporary
- Why choose
- Married in Vegas
Samantha gets drunkenly married in Vegas to the bad-boy quarterback who is trying to change his public image. Not only does she get drunkenly married, but then she has a good time with him….and all of his friends. Once sober, Samantha has to navigate how to get out of the mess she’s found herself in after hooking up with him and his friends, and when he’s definitely an asshole.
July 11 – Forget Me Not by Julie Soto
- Contemporary romance
- Grumpy sunshine
- Second chance
Wedding planner, Ama, and florist, Elliot, have crossed paths before; he did propose to her two years ago, and she turned him down. Now they’re back in each others orbits working on a celebrity wedding that has national exposure for Ama’s business. When others start to see the chemistry (namely the brides of the celebrity wedding), they start to play match maker to set Ama and Elliot up. Both hearts and livelihoods are on the line.
July 14 – The Anti-hero by Sara Cate
- Contemporary erotic romance
- BDSM
- Fake dating
When our male main character finds out that his father is a VIP member of a local kink club, he feels like there’s no reason for him to remain in line, with no scandals following him around. What better way to get back at his father than fake dating Sage, the owners daughter, and film dirty videos.
July 14 – A Blue Ribbon Romance by C.M. Nascosta
- Monster romance
- Fantasy erotic romance
A re-telling of Morning Glory Milking Farm, but from Rourke’s perspective. For those unfamiliar, Rourke, a minotaur, goes to Morning Glory Milking Farm to get off and make a little cash. Until he meets his milking tech, Violet, and then he can’t stay away.
July 20 – Sanctuary with Kings by Kathryn Moon
- Fantasy romance
- Monster romance
The third book in the Tempting Monsters series, that I genuinely don’t know much about. My guess is that is going to be a why choose/poly monster romance. The blurb provided is fairly short and doesn’t give a ton of details outside of Evanthia waiting for the fall of the Seven Veils and she runs when the house falls.
July 25 – A Game of Gods by Scarlett St. Clair
- Fantasy romance
- Hades and Persephone retelling
The third book in the Hades saga, which should be read between the installments in the Hades x Persephone series. Because it’s the third book, but sixth overall, I don’t want to actually provide much synopsis, as I think it could be filled with spoilers from prior installments. This is a series that should be read in the author’s recommended reading order.
July 25 – In the Case of Heartbreak by Courtney Kae
- Contemporary romance
- Small town
- Second chance
- Forced proximity
When Ben enters a cooking competition to show off his skills as a baker, he didn’t anticipate that he’s going to be running to his Grandma’s 80th birthday party with a broken heart. He’s even more surprised when his childhood crush, Adam, and his band are hired to be the entertainment at the party. When she arranges for them to stay in the same guest house, they know they’ll have to figure out how to be around each other and what the future holds.
There are a ton of amazing sounding new releases for July, and I cannot wait to get my hands on them. What are you most looking forward to reading this month?
