It’s the start (sort of, I’m a little behind) of a new month, and nothing says new month like looking at all the romance new releases coming out this month. Today’s post is zeroing in on the ones I’m most interested in checking out!
Each book listed includes the sub-genre of romance, known tropes and any other information I can share
June 1: Sweet Regret by K. Bromberg (Contemporary)
- Rockstar romance
- Second chance
A contemporary romance between rockstar Vince and newly assigned lawyer Bristol. A second chance romance between the two which, I’m sure, will include confessions, angst and the love that never burnt out.
June 2: The Unwanted Marriage by Catharina Maura (Contemporary)
- Billionaire
- Arranged Marriage
Book #3 in the Windsors series, we finally get to understand the dynamic between Dion and Faye, two people who have been engaged and destined to wed since childhood. In the world of power and money, Dion knows he doesn’t want anyone else to have Faye; she’s his. Will he be able to convince her to continue to move forward with marriage? I cannot wait to read this one!
June 9: Reckless by Elsie Silver (Contemporary)
- Cowboy
- Surprise Pregnancy
- Secret Baby
Theo and Winter finally get their story told! Theo has had my heart since book #1 in this series (Chestnut Springs) and we get to see if the ice queen herself will finally be thawed by the charmer. Candidly, I am not one to enjoy pregnancy in any of my romances, but I’m so intrigued by these characters and getting to understand Winter better as a person that I’m going to give this a try.
June 13: Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood (Contemporary)
- Hate to love
Another finding love in STEM standalone by Ali Hazelwood between Elsie and Jack. Elsie is a theoretical physicists by day and a fake girlfriend for hire in her spare time (sometimes day; sometimes not). Jack is the brother of Elsie’s favorite faking dating client and basically her arch nemesis (not really, but that’s the vibe I get from the blurb). He also sits between Elsie and her dream job at MIT with his involvement on the hiring committee.
June 14: Falling for the CEO Layla Hagen (Contemporary)
- Billionaire
- Single dad
- Next door neighbors
This had me at the first two tropes listed: billionaire and single dad. I love these separately and even more when they’re together in a romance. I genuinely barely had to read about anything else before putting this on my list to read. It sounds like it’s going to be filled with a lot of will they won’t they because of where both people are at in life.
June 15: Keep Her Safe by Q.B. Tyler (Contemporary)
- Age gap
- Bodyguard
The queen of forbidden and taboo is back with another release between an actress and her bodyguard. I love both of these tropes (sensing a theme?) and I expect that Q.B. will knock this out of the park. I might still be working through my first Q.B., but I’m definitely still interested in basically everything that she writes.
While certainly not an exhaustive list of what I’m looking forward to this month, these are the new releases I’m most interested in. What are you interested in reading this month? Let’s talk about it in the comments!
